Vasey Aviation Group LLC (VA) is assisting Skybus Airlines, a start-up carrier based in Columbus, OH, with its system-wide corporate real estate activities as part of its initial launch of service.  Skybus has firm orders for 65 Airbus 319 jets and will announce its initial routes shortly.

VA services also include evaluations of rates and charges for competing airports, lease negotiations and station openings.  VA is coordinating all of the IT, facilities and ground handling activities at each new station that will come on line in 2007.

Several of the initial airports currently do not have commercial service, and VA along with Skybus have partnered with these airports to facilitate a smooth transition for passenger operations.

Efforts include the development of revenue forecasts and expenses budgets; airport security plans (ASP); management staffing ; initial TSA coordination; vendor/concession agreements; facilities development; PFC applications; and capital development plans.
