Branson Airport
Branson, MO

Vasey Aviation Group LLC (VA) is the
Program Manager for the new Branson Airport, responsible for managing the planning, environmental assessment, cost control, design and construction for this multi-million dollar aviation capital project.

The Airport will be the first privately developed and operated for-profit commercial airport in the United States. Construction of the airport began in June 2007, with a completion date set for May 2009.

Located eight miles south of Branson, Mo., the Airport plans to attract commercial flights and provide convenience to air travelers who wish to visit this new mecca of country music.

The airfield is planned to consist of a single 7,140 foot long, 150 foot wide runway.  A terminal facility of approximately 56,000sf of floor space and 6,000sf of canopy covered area will be developed.

The runway will be capable of handling "narrow body" commercial jet traffic, which are capable of non-stop flight service between Branson and most commercial airports in the continental United States.

The Terminal Building will be designed to accommodate up to 1.6 million annual enplanements.  The Terminal Building strategy includes the purchase of state-of-the-art passenger ticketing and customer service equipment, which will encourage efficient passenger flow.

Aviation Facilities Co (AFCO). of McLean, Va., is developing the airport; Burns & McDonnell of Kansas City is the designer; and McAninch Corp. of Des Moines, Iowa, is the construction contractor.
